Hi, my name is Brian. I am a work in progress and if you're honest with yourself, so are you. In striving to grow and become a better version of myself I read books, study the Bible, and strive daily to be a better version of myself than I was the day before. My passion is reading and studying about Biblical leadership along with helping others develop a more comprehensive Biblical worldview. I firmly believe the Bible is the compass we need to navigate this crazy world. It not only provides understanding and context to our lives, it also offers wisdom for living day to day and an anchor of hope for the future. A biblical worldview also challenges us to pursue excellence as a divine calling. As creations of a perfect God, we are wired for excellence in every facet of our lives.
I am a graduate of Liberty University where I hold a degree in Christian Leadership and Management. However, I didn't take the traditional route to college. I attended the University of Tennessee at Martin right out of high school and pursued a degree in Communications but lacked the direction I needed early in my life to know where I wanted to go and what I wanted to do so I dropped out. A few years later, I found a career in the trucking industry and that is where I have been for the last 30 years. My goal was always to finish my degree some day and Liberty University Online helped me accomplish that goal. It took me seven years of doing classes at night one class at a time while working a full time job and I graduated from LUO in May of 2022! Never stop chasing your dreams.
Over my 30 year career in the trucking industry, I have worked in both sales and service as I worked my way up to a Director level position in retail truck parts. Along the way I've always stayed active in church ministry and leadership. Currently, I serve as a teaching team pastor and elder in my local church. What awaits you on this blog are not just reviews of the latest books I've read, but a fusion of biblical truths and leadership insights. Dive into articles and posts that bridge the gap between leadership principles and biblical wisdom, guiding us all to become better versions of ourselves.
